A Little Trip Up North

A friend of mine has a little casita in the northern part of New Mexico.
I drove up towards Chama, New Mexico to have a day out with Alyce.
We had a GREAT day.

Hi Kay, Oh I really feel for you and the heat wave that you are having. I will have to post photos of our "Red Neck Soaking Tub". We purchased a blue 6 foot diameter cattle water tank and it makes the best place to sit and cool off on a hot summer afternoon or evening. When I sit in it the water comes up to my chin, but I'm only 5'4". So having it 6 foot around, I can actually even float in it, LOL. We love it!

I love your friend's spirit sticks, they are so pretty hanging in the window like that and the poppies are beautiful.
Have a great week, Connie :)

Hi Kay, I'm happy that you liked the little travel trailer tour. How about that sign that one of the ladies made from the old license plates. Pretty cool, don't you think?
We are having weather in the 100's all this week and looks like it could even go on longer than that. If you would have visited us the last two evenings . . . you would have found Steve and I out relaxing in our "Red Neck Tub". Anyone that knocks it, just hasn't tried it . . . we have a couple of in-laws that think we are nuts, but they are sweating these hot evening and we are relaxing under the stars together, cool drink in hand.
Loving the cowgirl red-neck life. Connie :)

Ooh, thanks for these photos Kay, lovely. I so enjoyed the blue peeled paint on the wood. That is the kind of thing I love to find and photograph too.
Missed you on WOYWW this week, glad you are ok.
Hugs, Neet xx

You go to the most photogenic places. Of course, even if I went to photogenic places I wouldn't have a camera, so... I'll just live vicariously through you.
